LEISK was founded by Gustaf Leijonhufvud and Johan Skog, who have prior experience as lawyers at renowned law firms and who are also founders of Kapatens – an investment company focusing on legal finance and distressed situations. As a result, they have experienced the legal market from both the attorney’s, the client’s and the funder’s perspectives.
From these experiences emerged the idea of LEISK – an advisor with a holistic approach to law, risk and finance.
Johan Skog is the founder of LEISK and Kapatens. He was previously a litigator in Mannheimer Swartling’s dispute resolution practice group, acting as counsel in high-value and complex commercial disputes before state courts and arbitral tribunals (ad hoc arbitrations as well as under various institutional rules such as the SCC and ICC). Member of the New York State Bar. Co-author of the first full-length book on Third-Party Funding in Sweden, as well as author of several articles on legal finance.
Gustaf is the founder of LEISK and Kapatens. He was previously a law firm partner at Magnusson Advokatbyrå, specialized in M&A, investments, banking/finance, insolvency and turn-arounds.
